MR. S. H. SEAGAR.
x Mr. Samuel Hurst Seagar was born in London in 1858, and arrived in New Zealand in 1870. He returned to England, and was educated afc .London University, the Boyal Academy, and the Architects' Institute. He : returned to New Zealand, and practised at Christchurch. He has designed many important buildings ; in New Zealand and in Australia, having resided in Sydney from 1891 until 1895. He was a lecturer on architecture■ at the "Canterbury School of Art, cud is well known as the designer for the . New Zealand War Graves Commission.
