! The Addr.ess-in-Beply now being out, 1 of the way, the House of Representa- ! tives is in a position to settle down for ! the real work of the session. This afterf noon formal business ■will be transacted and papers will bo laid on the table. Four Government Bills—the Police Of- < fences Amendment, Oil in Territorial Industrial Societies Amendment, and Evidence Amendment —will be introduced, after which the House will go on to the second readings of the measures introduced yesterday. First on the list is the National Provident Fund Bill, next is the Public Revenues, and then the Local Bodies lioans. It is not expected that the sitting will be a late one. The Oil in Territorial Waters Bill deals with tho discharge of oil fuel in harbours, it being intended that this practice shall be proi hibited. :
