NO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

CHBISTCHUBCH, This Day.
Commenting on the extension of the Coleridge power-station, a :report of the Canterbury Progress League states that unless there is to be a repetition of tho setbacks and shortages of the past, the Government must, at a very early dato, make up its mind on the subject of futuro power exploitation. There is no comprehensive -plan extant for tho development of South Island power. If the selection of new power sources is left to be dealt with piecemeal, the way will be open for a good deal of undesirable political log-rolling, anS almost inevitably the proper development of the-power resources will be hampered and delayod.
