TAUMARUNUI, This Day.
A hold-up occurred on the Main Trunk Railway last night. One of the main driving axles of the engine of the Limited express from Auckland broke two miles south of KakXhi. The ordinary express, from Auckland was detain-' ed at Taumarunui -until 6.30 a.m. and was then sent to link up with the Limited. The two trains continued together to Wellington. The Limited express from the south was consequently delayed, and left Taumarunui at 8.39. The whole local time-table was .disorganised for some time.
The train is due at Wellington about 7 o'clock this evening.
