(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
DARGAVILLE, Ist July
A fire at Okaihau this morning totally destroyed a nine-roomed house and contents, the property of Mr. W. Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was alone in the house at the time. Only a few articles of furniture were saved. The insurances were £205 on the furniture and £500 on the building. Mr. Thompson is a very heavy loser. The suspected cause of the fire is a defective chimney.
