BUSH DEFEAT DANNEVIRKE

PAHIATUA, 30i;h June. Bush (holders) defeated Dannevirke in a Bebbington Shield match to-day By 13 points to 11, after a stern tussle. In the first half, with the .wind in their favour, Bush put up 10 points. On the change over, the Dannevirke score gradually mounted, but Bush scored again, and kept the *cad. The play was full of excitement, fast and fairly open, though the ground was heavy. Tries were scored for Bush by P. Galvin, O. Judd, and Harvey. U_y and Galvin each converted one. For Dannevirke tries were scored by Walker and Pain. Craven kicked a penalty goal, and converted a try.
