MAORI TEAM'S TOUR.
Details in connection with the tour of the New Zealand Maori team were discussed at the meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union last evening. Amended arrangements are as follow:— The team is to play at Auckland on 17th July, at Wellington on 21st July, and they leave for Sydney on 23rd July, where they join the Narkunda, which proceeds to France, via Melbourne, Fremantle, and Suez. They will play a match at Melbourne on 31st July, and will arrive at Marseilles on 3rd September. The first match will be played in France on 12th September.
It has been decided that for the matches in Auckland and Wellington the local unions receive 20 per cent., and that for the match at Melbourne the union there be given 25 per cent, of the gate.
