THE COSSACKS ARE COMING.
The famous Don Cossacks, who recently created a great sensation at. the Queen's Hall, and the Albert Hall, London, ■ are coming to New Zealand. They will give five concerts in the Town Hall_ commencing on Saturday, 26th June, the preferential plans for which are now open at The Bristol. The programme generally opens with a group of religious songs, followed by two groups of secular selections. Among these, Russian folk song are naturally to the fore, and the familiar "Volga Boat Song" is always received with great enthusiasm. Some Cossack numbers conclude the programme proper, and these are so well received as to evoke two encores always, and a final dance by two members of the choir, with vocal accompaniments. The conductor (Serge Jaroff) and the- choir are always strenuously applauded, and acknowledge the appreciation of the audience by adding some merry numbers. - \
