THE PAVLOVA SEASON.

There was a very large demand for seats at The Bristol this morning, when the plans were opened for the approaching season of Anna Pavlova and her brilliant London and Paris company. The first programme, which includes "The Fairy Doll," "The Polish Wedding," and "The Swan," will be staged on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, and the second on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, while the final programme ig on Friday and Saturday, 18th and 19th June. When the great Pavlova made her debut in Melbourne the enthusiasm with which she was greeted is quite without a 1 precedent in the history of the stage in that city. A leading critic of the performance states: "The great Pavlova first appeared in the costume of _ the Fairy Doll, as an inexpressibly dainty figure, a slender, figure of poised elegance above a floating skirt, faintly suffused with the tinting of the spotlights, in which the ivory of her arms and shoulders was set in a symphony of diamond sparklings on a fabric of snow and roses." Laurent Novikoff has been associated with a number of Pavlova's triumphs in London and on the Continent, and so has Lucien Wurmser,i\irfder whose direction is the Gibnd Operatic Orchestra. Miss Thurza Rogers, the young New Zealand girl in Pavlova's company; created quite a furore in Auckland by her brilliant dancing, and as Wellington is her home town she. is likely to receive a big reception on Saturday night..
