The proprietors of the only "rolldown" parlour in Christchurch state that they have been legally advised to continue business in face of the City Council's decision that the license be cancelled immediately. Mr. H. Robinson, one of the partners, said that if they were prevented from doing business, they would be involved in financial loss, as they had contracted to rent the premises and purchase stocks for at least three months, with an option for another three months. Mr. Robinson said that two years ago the council granted him a license for the same game. He had conducted the game for various charities, including the Lewisham Hospital bazaar in Wellington last year.
