GEORGE YOUNG SUSPENDED

The ex-New Zealand jockey, George Young, and K. Bracken, were suspended from riding in races for three months by the A.J.C. stipendiary stewards on Monday, 31st May. The suspension was for interference with Cave Dweller at Eosehill on Saturday, 22nd May. Cave Dweller started favourite for the second division of the Highweight Handicap, and was interfered with shortly after tho start. The stewards opened an inquiry on the course, but adjourned it until later, when, after a number of jo.ikeys who rode in tho race were examined, the officials again postponed their deliberations until Monday of last week. At tho conclusion of the final sitting,, the officials reported that G. Young (rider of Worthier) and K. Bracken (rider of Mountbaiten) were equally responsible for the interference, and each was suspended from riding in races for three months.
