UNSETTLED WEATHER
Although the barometer remains high in the North, still by comparison it is low in the extreme South, while moderate to strong southerly to westerly winds have prevailed. The weather is at present CO9I and changeable, and rain is reported'in Wostland and.Pauveaux Strait. The present"indications are for increasing westerly winds, which are likely to be strong to gale in and southwards of Cook Strait. Cloudy and unsettled weather may be expected at times, with rain in districts having westerly aspects.
