SETTLER'S DAUGHTER MISSING

NOTE INDICATES SUICIDE,

WAIPUKUBAU, This Day. A sensation, has been caused in the Waipukurau and Porangahau districts by the disappearance of the daughter of a well-known settler. Her absence was discovered on Monday morning, a note having beon left which stated that her body would be found in the river. Search parties have been out ever since. The matter was reported to the constable stationed at Porangahau, but as yet no trace has been found of her. Naturally the unfortunate happening caused much concern and sympathy with her parents and other relatives. The missing lady is Miss Thelma White, daughter of Mr. E. J. White, of PoTangahau.
