The only news available in Leicester was contained in a typod sheet stating that Leicester trams had stopped, and other local news. Other country districts were similarly ignorant of the happenings in London, tho romotest parts of the world being better informed than the suburbs. The crisis will not interfere with the Australians' match at Essex.
