A RIDICULOUS ARRANGEMENT
GLASHING OF CONFERENCES.
Notwithstanding the protests made last year by some of the delegates and the undertaking that was given by the president of the Trotting Conference that every endeavour would be made to avoid a elashinc of dates, the annual meeting of the New Zealand' Trotting Conference has again been fixed to be held on the same day as the New Zealand Racing Conference, the date being Wednesday, 7th July. The Racing Conference date was announced a week before that of the Trotting Conference, so the responsibility must rest with the latter body. The clashmg-of the meetings o£ these two bodies means considerable inconvenience to those delegated who are appointed to act at both Conferences, and the selection of another date should surely have presented no insuperable difficulties'. There is plenty o£ time yet for a little reason, to prevail.
