MEN OF DORSET.
•The fifteenth annual reunion of thu New Zealand Society of Dorset Men was celebrated at Dustin's rooms on Tuesday evening. The president (Mr. H. J. Poole) presided. A reception was .held, after which a lengthy toast list was honoured. "The King and Royal Family" was proposed by the president. "Dorset, Our County," proposed'" by the president, was responded to by Mr. John Hiscock. Then followed "The Parent Society," proposed by Mr. C. H. Dement, and responded to by Mr. James Besant. The hon secretary read a cablegram from the parent society in London, as follows: "Best wishes Dorset Day." Mr. James Besant proposed "The President," which was honoured musically. Mr. Poole suitably respnded. "The Oflicers of the Society," proposed by Mr. James Aplin, was responded to by Messrs. H. S. Moore and H. D. Poole. "The Ladies," proposed by Mr, H. J. Poole, junior, was responded to by Mrs. H. J. Poole, senior. "The "Visitors," proposed by Mr. H. S. Moore, was responded to by Mr. Doherty, Songs and recitations were given by Mesdames Harris, Misses Page and M'Kay, Messrs. Moore and Kernot. Musical selections were given by an orchestral band, under Mr. S. P. Hooper. Miss Hilda Hiscock most efficiently acted as accompanist.
