QUEEN'S THEATRE.

"The White Desert," showing finally at the Queen's Theatre this evening, is one of the most spectacular- pictures seen in these parts for some time. One of the big scenes shows a mighty avalanche of snow and ice crashing upon a road construction camp. Claire Windsor's beauty is upheld by her ability to act, and in this production she gives a vivid portrayal of a society girl face to face with a grim and stark reality. The supporting programme is exceptionally strong, and there is also pleasing music by the orchestra.
