There was a very largo attendance at Messrs. J. H. Betlmne and Co.'a auction rooms, Brandon street, yesterday afternoon, when they submitted a number of properties on behalf or the Public Trustee acting for various estates, in conjunction with Messrs. Finch and Webster. A property containing about 1 acre, In Vivian street, between Willis street and Cuba street, together with four houses, 11 cottages, and stable and fish-house, was sold for £17,000 to Reckitts (Overseas) Ltd. They also sold a bungalow residence, 81, Kelburn parade, to Mr. F. B. Lawrence for £ 1500; and a property in Willis street, opposite the Te Aro School, with five-roomed dwelling thereon, to Mr. A. J3. Easthope, for £950. The following properties were offered, but the bidding not quite reaching the reserves, they were withdrawn, and now remain in the hands of tho auctloners for private sale: —34, Kent terrace, at the corner of Home street, with sevenroomed dwelling a house of five rooms at tho corner of Motueka and Balswcll streets, Ngafo; a corner block fronting the Esplanade and Buick street, Petone; a seaside section fronting the Main road at Eastbourne; two good building sites. Bank road, Northland; and a level section fronting Broadway, Miramar.
