LOCAL WOOL SALES.

Messrs. Dalsety and Co., Christchurch, report that the sales of wool for the ten months ended 30th April wore as follow:—

TALLOW EXPORTS.

Exports of tallow for the ten months ended 30th April were 16,475 tons, at compared with 16,372 tons for the corresponding period of 1925.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of sth Instant:— "Tallow.—There will be no public sales this week owing to strike."

JOHNSONVILLE SALE.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report on Johusonville sale, held yesterday :—The yard--I^l throughout showed good quality, both sheep :viil cattle yarding being considerably better than the previous week. A good attendance of butchers waß present, and bidding throughout was keen, every peu selling under the hammer at prices in advance of previous quotations. We quote: Ox, £11 12s 6d. £11 17a Cd £12 173 Cd, £13 6s, £13 128 6d. £13 15s £14 2s 6(1, £14 12s Cd, to £15 6s Wethers. 26s 3d, 27s 3d, 2Ss, 288 Sd, to 3O|. Ewes, 20s, 22s 6d, 2Ss, to 23s sd. B face lambs 2Gs to 28s. W. face lambs, 23s 4d, 25s Cd, 25s 3d, 2fls sd. to 27s Cd.
