GREEK ELECTIONS
UNITED PARTIES TO ABSTAIN.

ATHENS, 4th April.
As the Government rejected their request for a week's postponement of the Presidential election so that voting would occur all over Greece on the same day, the United Parties decided not to participate in the election and to withdraw the candidature' of M. Demerdjis, previously announced, on the ground that arrangements for the election are not ready in 23 out of 33 districts. It has been decided to hold the election to-day in ten districts and tho remainder a week later.
