CUP WON BY RAVENNA.

INVERCARGILL, 3rd April. The Rivorton Racing Club's annual meeting opened to-day in dull weather. There was a good attendance, and the track was holding. Tho totallsator handled £19,581 10s, as against £21,383 last year. Results:—
Trial Handicap, of 125 soys; seven furlongs. —3 King Cup, 8.6 (A. E. Ellis), 1; 4 Cassolette, 8.0, 2; 1 Flying Mist, 8.0, 3. Also started : 2 Spear Maid 8.6, 5 French .Belle 8.0, 7 Jolly Fellow 8.0, 8 Soldier's Dream 8.0, 6 Swimashore 8.0. Won by a longtU, four lengths between second and third. Time, lmln 31 4-ssec. Walau Steeplechase, of 200 soys; about two miles.—6 Mystic Boy, 9.7 lE. Ross), 1; 4 Irish King, 9.7, 2; 2 Osterman, 9.12, 3. Also started: 1 Mazama 10.8 and July Spark 9.9 (coupled), 3 De Cruse 9.7, 5 Grand Fleet 9.7; 7 Korak 9.7. Three furlongs each way. Time, 4mln 46 2-ssec. . . ■
Aimrima Handicap, of 245 soys; six furlongs.—4 Ecuador, 9.T (L. Hunt), 1; 1 Circulation, 8.9, 2; 6 Dancing Days, 8.3, 3. Also started: 2 Warhaven 8.10, 5 Eaton Bells S.B, 8 Valdamo 8.2, 7 Fulmar 8.0, 9 Bugle Note 7.7, 3 Jack 0' Lantern 7.7. Won by a short length, a neck between second and third. Time, Imin 17sec.
Longwood Hack Handicap, of 125 soys; seven furlongs.—2 Pink Note, 9.2 (J. Andrews), 1; 1 Paris, 7.7, 2; 3 Bilbo, 7.8, 3. Also started: 5 Obliglo 8.0, 3 Solzia 8.0 (coupled with Bilbo), 4 Highbum 7.11, 6 Vogue 7.3, 7 Flight 7.1. Won by a nose, one length and a half between second and third. Time, Imin 32seo.
Rlverton Cup, of 500 soys; one mile and a quarter.—2 Ravenna, 8.9 (A. E. Ellis), 1; 3 Full Swing, 7.5, 2; 7 Kilfaue, 7.5, 3. Also started: 6 Mountain Lion 9.3, 4 Geranial 7.12, 1 Apacho 7.4, 5 Queen Balboa 7.2. Won by a neck, three' lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 11 l-ssec.
Great Western Steeplechase, of 450 soys; three miles. —3 Uncle Bob, 10.10 (J. Langford), 1; 7 Blazing Light, 9.0, 2; 4 Greenstone, 9.0, 3. Also started: 1 Kipling 11.9, 2 Frenchman 11.2, 5 Mettle Drift 9.6, -0 Flag Lieutenant 9.0. Won by 300 yards, 500 yards between second and third. Time, 7mln 10 4-sec.
