Numerous visitors attended the v.eeriimony at St. John Lateran,.wherei the high dignitaries of the church,' Cardinal Pomfili, the Arch-Priest of. the Basilica, and the Vicar of: Borne' presided.'. The long, procession. through the .: BasUiea was most iinprewive, with the singing of the choir in the Sistine Chapel. The Blessed Sacrament was carried by tke Arch-Priest from , the altar of ■ repose. Cardinal Fruhwirth- bestowed indulgences on the faithful. : .'.••■' .',,:.
