(To the Editor.)

Sir,—The Post and Telegraph Depaitment advertised through thq columns of the daily papers that amongst -other articles, 'including motor-lorries, etc., Unit it would sell at auction to-day -a woodworking machine, a saw-bench, and mortiser. To my astonishment I, with a number of other inquirers, was told in arrival, at the stores that these articles were withdrawn from sale, and we were approached by a person who intimated tons that if we wished to purchase any of the machines he would be pleased to do business, and he gave us his business address. I had travelled a number of miles in order to be present at this sale, and I wish to enter a most-emphatic protest at such treatment.—l am, etc.. BUILDER. 23rd MarclK -
