SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
Tho K2.if:xring guests of Miss I. Stanton at the Sailors' Friend Society last evening will retain pleasant memories of a happy evening, when songs,' recitals, and instrumental pieces were encored freely, the performers were Sirs. Jennings, Misses Wallworth, Bowden, I. -Stanton, Messrs. Bowclen. Robinson, Newton, and Cornwell. Miss Bowden was at the piano. The competitions again afforded much pleasure to all. The prizes came from the hostess and Mr. W. Flanagan, and went to the Cumberland, Tairoa, and Rotorua. The missioncr appealed for gitts of reading matter for the sailors.
