COST OF GOVERNMENT CONTROL.
(Reuter'g Telegram.) (Received 24th March, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 23rd March. In the Chancery* Division, Mr. Justice Eve granted the petition of tha British Dyestuffs Corporation for a reduction of capital by £4,421,000, of which £2,841,000 would be written off as lost, while £1,580,000 would be returned in cash to cartain shareholders, the Government to receive £600,000 in return for their shares, £1,700,000 wortn of which they are surrendering. • * The Government will also relinquish all rights of control over the company. His Lordship observed that this control had cost the country £1,100,000.
