GILBEY DIVORCE CASE
PETITION GRANTED.
(Sydney Sun Cabled . (Received 24th March, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 23rd March. In the Gilbey divorce case the jury found the respondent, Sir "Walter Gilbey, guilty of both misconduct and cruelty. The divorce was granted. Lady Gilbey petitioned for divorce from Sir Walter Gilbey, the prominent sportsman, after forty-two years of married life on the grounds of his misconduct with Mrs. Ethel Mayor. Gilbey's counsel admitted that misconduct had been going for twenty years. Sir Walter Gilbey is in his 67th year.
