SHORT SKIRTS IN GREECE
LAW-BBEAKER SENT TO GAOL.
(Australian-New Zealand Cable Assn.) (Eeceived 23rd March, 2 p.m.) ATHENS, 22nd March. The law prohibiting short skirts came into operation to-day. The police at midday discovered a twenty-year-old girl with the hem of her skirt 15 inches above the ground. She was tried immediately, and sent to gaol for twenty-four hours. The verdict was received with loud hisses by the crowded Court.
