NEW ZEALAND TROTTER BEATEN
(United Press Association- Copyright' (Received 23rd March, 1.30 p.m.) PERTH, This Day. The run-off of the trotting championship, which was necessary because Great Bingen and Taraire' each had eight points, took place last night over a distance of a mile and a half. The race resulted in a win for the West Australian trotter, Taraire, with Great Bingen second. It was a brilliant race, Taraire winning by a yard and a half in 3min 20sec.
