AMERICA'S BAN
DIVORCED PEERESS DETAINED.

NEW YORK, 10th February.
The Countess of Cathcart, who figured with the Earl of Craven in two English divorce eases, her own and his, was detained on board the steamer Carmania by immigration officials on arrival at New York, on Tuesday night. The Countess said her detention was because she was divorced. She said she was going to marry Ralph Neal, the English playwright, next month.
