OTTAWA, 9th February.
Ncgoi tat ions are still pending between the Postmaster-General (Hon. Charles Murphy) and other members of the Pacific Cable Board. It is understood to be the hope of the Government to retain Canada's membership on the board. '
The Hon. Ernest Lapointe, the Government leader, said: "There is every hope that they will come to an understanding,"
Developments are expected before long. It is probable the matter will be discussed in the House of 'Commons, and details of the differences between the Government and the Cable Board will be made known.
