STRAND THEATRE.
"On Thin Ice," "Hold Your Breath," and "The Rink," the programme that has been packing the Strand Theatre this week, will be shown for the last time to-' night. Tom Moore and Edith Roberts head a fine cast in "On Thin Ice,"'Which includes William Russell, Theodore yon Eltz, and "The Texas Kid/ The second feature "Hold Your -Breath," with Dorothy Devore in the stellar role, is a comedy drama full of thrills and laughter. Charlie Chaplin is seen in "The Rink," one of the two-reel comedies that made him famous. Reginald Denny in "Where Was I?" heads the programme commencing to-morrow. There is also an unusual story with wonderful opportunities for the manufacturing of laughs. Chester Conklin, Lee Moran, Otis Harlan, Pauline Garon, Marian Nixon, William Turner, Tom Lingham, Arthur Lake, and James Corrogan all contribute to the general ,cometiy of the piece. The story concerns the troubles of ajroung man trying to find out where he was on a certain date. The magic carpet is a back number, when it comes to quick transportation from one continent to another. Gasnier boasts of having awakened in his Hollywood home and two hours later having found himself in darkest Africa. Alice Joyce, Kenneth Harlan, and Walter Long play the principal roles in "White Man," the second feature. The picture deals, with the adventures of a society girl, who in order to escape a loveless marriage, escapes to the African jungle. A good comedy and gazette will also be shown.
