The Taranaki Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting opened to-day in fine weather. The course is a little heavy on account of rain early. Eesults:—
Waitara Hurdles, of 225 soys; one mile and a half.—Bustler, 10.13, 1; Koauau, 10.13, 2; San Fera, 11.3, 3. All started. Won by a length, a length between second and third. Time, 2min 56 2-ssec. '
Juvenile Handicap, of 225 soys; five furlongs.—Oration, 9.11, 1; Toapaiti, 8.7, 2; Seastar, 7.13, 3. Scratched: Letter of Credit, Windbag, White Fang, and Nastor. Won by two and a half lengths, half a length between second and third horses. Time, lmin 3 l-ssec.
