GRAND OPERA HOUSE.
An entirely different type of play is "The Bad Man," being presented by Guy Bates Post at the Grand Opera House, from the distinguished actor's first offerinc in Wellington, "The Masquerader." "The Bad Man contains comedy, drama, thrills, and not a few surprises. Mr. Post and the talented members of his company delighted another large audience last evening, which was. most appreciative of the ability displayed; The ranche of Gilbert-Jones, near the Mexican border, is the scene of the play, and the lighting effects are wonderfully realistic. As a Mexican bandit, crafty, scheming, but withal a witty follow, Guy Bates Post gives a fine characterisation. The action of the play is so intense at times that a pin could almost be heard to drop, but at the next moment Lopez has the house rocking with his clever comedy. "The Bad Man" will be repeated until Friday night, and on Saturday the third offering, "The Green Goddess," will be given.
