BUTTER AND CHEESE LOWER.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report receipt of the following cablegram from London:— "Butter: Since our last report prices are 2s per cwt lower (present quotation, New Zealand salted, 1745). Cheese: Prices are Is per cwt lower (present Quotation, New Zealand, white 995, coloured 103s)." Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London house, dated 9th January: "New Zealand butter 1745, New Zealand white cheese 98s, coloured 103s; both.very quiet."
