THE WEATHER
WARM AND HUMID.
The winds have been variable, westerly breezes predominating. Hazy and sultry conditions have been experienced on the East Coast and the sky has been clouded and overcast at times. Rain has been ;oported on the West Coast of the South Island' and in Southland, but elsewhere the weather has been fine though cloudy to overcast at times. The barometer lell yesterdav, and then rose again in the north, b*ut little movement of the barometer has been reported generally. Dull, warm, and humid conditions are forecast- 1 edj with further rain on the West Coast districts of the South Island, with a continuance of moderate westerly windi. ,
