REGATTA AT TAURANGA.

TAURANGA, 28th December.

Ideal weather prevailed to-day for the annual regatta, and there was a record attendance. The fifty-one events were got off without a hitch between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. The principal events resulted:—

Maiden Double Sculls.—Hamilton 1, Waitemata 2, West End 3,

Youths' Fours.—Hamilton 1, St. George's 2, Tauranga 3.

Maiden Pairs.—Waitemata 1, West End 2, St. George's 3.

Maiden Fours (lOst and under).—West End 1, St. George's 2; Whakatane 3.

Single Sculls.—l. W. St. Clair (Hamilton 1, G. Mnson (Tauranga) 2, W. A, Stevenson (Waitemata) 3.

Maiden Fours (open weights).—Waitemata 1, St. George s 2, Hamilton 3, Bay of Plenty 4.

Invitation Interclub Maiden Fours. — Hamilton 1, Tauranga 2, Whakatane 3.

Junior Fours.—St. George's 1, Waitemata No. 2 2, Waitemata No. 1 3.

First Class Keelers.—Moana 1, lorangi 2. The only starters. „

Second Class Keelers.—Vanitie 1, Queenie 2, Matua 3.

A splendid breeze prevailed all day for the yachts, resulting* in some good lacing.
