ANTWERT WOOL MAHKET.
Mr. J. I. H. Mortens, honorary commercial representative in Antwerp for New Zuiland, reports that tho wool market has been iiulct. with relatively low prices for tops, but hisrli prices well maintained for noils. At Itoubaix-Tourcoinp there has been a very active dc-mnnd for tops and noils, the conditioniiiK houses showing a weekly turnover of 2Vi million pounds of tops, with a reduction of one lullliou in the stocks at the combers «t tho end of August, as compared with July figures. O'enernlly the stocks of wool- lv users' hands having been reduced to a minimum and a new low basis of prices established, an active aud fairly general demand has arisen, Franco being particularly favoured by present business conditions.
