BENEFIT CONCERT.
Last week, tho Wellington' Entertainers (under the direction of Mr. A. B. M'Donagh), assisted by leading professionals and amateurs, presented a benefit night in St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown. Half the proceeds were in aid of the British and Foreign Sailors' Society's Social Fund. Tho entertainers also gave a concert on Thursday at tho Ewart Hospital, which was much enjoyed by tho 'inmates. Thoso taking part in the two concerts were Misses N. Hotter and D. Adams, Messrs. J. Whaler, W. Sweet, M. TJnwin, Knott, Brown, W. Wilkinson, A. Ellis, Barry, Stuart, and Martin. Others on tho programmes' were tho Jacksons, the Waltk*Boys, and two tiny performers; the Williams Boys. Mr. Kent was the accompanist at both concerts. At the conclusion of the concert at the Ewart Hospital, tho matron thanked those who £avo items. It is tho intention of the company ,(o show at other places where there arc unfortunates who are unable to go to places of amusement.
