The 23rd annual report of the Masterton Co-operative Dairy Company shows that the output of butter during the year amounted to 584 tons, being au increase of 221 tons over the previous year. The directors have authorised a further payment of l£d per lb of but-ter-fat,' and recommend payment of a dividend of 5 per cent, on share capital, carrying forward a balance of £91 14s 7d. The sum of £81,265 11s lid was paid to suppliers in advances for but-ter-fat. Mr. AJex. M'Lcod, the prospective Labour candidate, has definitely decided that ho will not contest the Masterton seat at the coming election. The annual balance-sheet of the Masterton Collio Club shows a credit balance of £62 8s 2d. The old Masterton Collio Club had tho sum of £36 12s lOd in hand, which has been handed oyer to the new club, making'a total of £99 Is to bo carried forward. During last year the- Masterton Dairy Company paid £3500 in overseas freight and Dairy Control Board levy. Storage charges amounted to £1743, and £2314 was spent in butter boxes. , The fifteen Memorial Park debentures of £100 eacb, secured by tho Masterton Trust Lands Trust grant of £100 a. year for fifteen years have all boon tuken up, and tho board is now in a position to pay up tho bank overdraft.

The meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Charles Winteringham, saddler, of Masterton, called for yesterday, lapsed for want of a quorum. The estimated deficiency in the estate amounts to £114 Bs. Unsecured creditors' claims total £118 7s 7d, and the assets are £303 19a 7d, comprising ntocfc-in-trad» i £133 16s • 7d, and book debts estimated to produce £170 3i.
