Tt is anticipated that the Basin Reserve pavilion will bo completed and handed over by the contractors to the Cily Council in about a week's time, -though there will still be much work ahead, not covered by the present cond'iict, in the terracing of the slopes at the western side oE the ground, to give outdoor accommodation to several thousand, spectators. Probably a good deal of concreting will he involved in this •work, which, however, cannot be undertaken until additional money is available.
