NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS. (BI TWBORAPn.-^PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 27th August. The butter and cheese grading competitions promoted in connection with the Winter Exhibition were carried out to-day. Unusuiil interest was manifested in the competitions this year, owing to ilio fact that the competitors were drawn from all pnrts of the Dominion. U'ho events included the championship of Now Zealand in butter and cheese grading respectively and .competitions for dairy factory employees other than managers. Prize money totalling £75 ■whs provided for the competitions, first prize in each event beint; £10. The. championship winners' also received a gold medal. Tho competitors totalled 65, ■ and competition in. the different classes was particularly keen, the ecor-. ing lining very close in all classes. Following are the results :— Butter Grading Championship : A. Madsen (Te .Poi)'," S9£pts, 1; J. Camp-, bell (MaungntuTolri), H. W. C'lenworth (Waipukurau), and J. A. Blnke (Wailiku), 99pts. equal for second place. Butter Grading, for factory employees other than ■ managers : H: Goldthorpe (Clevedon), 97pta, 1 ; A. Palmer (Rangiwahia) and H.
