CITIZENS' INTERCESSORY SERVICE
The weekly intercessory service was held to-day, at 12.30 p.m., in the Lecture Hall of the Y.W.C.A., in Boulcott street. Following the usual procedure, the opening hymn was followed, by prayer. Bible reading and a season of silent intercession, etc., after which the address was delivered by Mr. J. Reid, 8.A., who stressed very ably that Christianity was essentially the demonstration of Divine love, not as a dogma but in practice, and in relation to every activity of human life. Further prayer on behalf of our land and Empire was then offered, and the meeting closed with Benediction and the National Anthem.
