"KID BOOTS."
Tlie box plans for "Kid Boots" will be opened at Tlie Bristol on Monday morning. Much more than the usual interest in a J. C. Williamson musical production is being evinced in "Kid Boots;" whose premiere in this city on Wednesday next promises something out of the common. This brilliant musical extravaganza will be played for the first Bix nights, commencing each evening at 8 o'clock. Of "Kid Boots" the critic of the Sydney "Evening News" writes:—"ln a whirl of hilarity, earseducing melodies, gorgeously dressed girls, s»i golfing language—not of the emphatic sort—those two pronounced favourites of Australian audiences— Josie Melville and George Gee—made their reappearance in Sydney at Her Majesty's Theatre. Josie was daintier than ever as Polly Pendleton. Her dancing was, of course, delightful, and the particularly clever feature dance with the chorus men towards the close of the first act cheated a furore. Tlie opening scene at the golflinks was exceedingly pretty, and the parts of the club and the ballroom were most spectacular, introducing a wealth of beautiful dresses and engaging girls, who danced wonderful steps. The Spanish ballet was delightful."
