STRAND THEATRE.
Betty Compson and Clive Brook have the big parts in "The White Shadow," which commenced a season at the Strand Theatre to-day. In this picture Miss Compson enacts a dual role, that of twin sisters of widely different naturei, one a quiet, refined girl, and the other a wild, misohievous maid, whose search for excitement and disregard for parental advice leads her into innumerable complications. Mr. Clive Brook further enhances the reputation he has already made in the work he does in support. The sixth episode of "In the Days of Daniel * Boone" was also shown, and proved to be most exciting. This thrilling Universal serial of the early struggles of America is proving very popular with Strand Theatre audiences. The supporting pictures include a comedy, scenic, cartoon, and topical bundget.
