The cost of administering the New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board for 18 months (Ist February,- 1924, to 21st July, 1925) was £31,208 13s lOd, Including the following Items: Expenses of management, £4014 12s Id; of board meetings, honoraria, and travelling expenses, £8000 7s 9d; overseas delegation travelling expenses, £3404 15s Id; shipping inspection, £900 15s sd; shipping subsidy to dairy associations, £6250; marine insurance expenses, £1195 Is sd; board election expenses, £18110 15s 8d; Empire Exhibition expenses, £4038 9s Ed. The amount yielded by the levy on produce for export totalled £77,175 la ltd Obiter allowing for deduction of £770 lln cost of collection); to this interest on investments, £803 14s lid, has to be added, making ii total of £77,979 10s lOd. Tho assets include .cash and deposits at banks, in New Zealand and London, £71110 11s 8d; accrued interest and levies due, £1713 17s lOd; fixed deposits nnd New Zealand Government securities, £30,905.
