Mr. Mac Donald, treasurer of the Otago Provincial Committee of the hibition, explains in reference to a Cantorbury Press Association telegram about the .province's frozen meat display, that the original arrangement referred to was made on behalf of Canterbury without consulting the Otago coymittee, and it was impossible to fulfil \#.en Southland's decision to exhibit frozen meat necessitated more cosily ' refrigerating plant. The expenses of Canterbury would not be more than Wellington's. Otago's, and Southland's, the- contract price being uquallv shared, while .against the £275 quoted is sot the Moat, Board's subsidy and contributions it is expected from the meat companies. The Otago committee puys for the sprtco occupied by tho refrigerating- plant without charging olher provinces.
