LONDON, 26th August. The Berlin^ correspondent of "The Times" says that an appeal has teda issued for subscriptions for a new Zeppelin, alleged to be for the purpose of making a voyage to the North Pole. Tha correspondent describes this as a left-., handed challenge to the Allies' decision in regard, to German airships. The appeal is signed by" reprelentative's'.of"all'' classes. Eckener, who piloted ZR2 to America, does not believe the Allies will oppose the construction of a great airship for % a scientific voyage which will produce more than mere scientific result*, guch as experience and proof of the suitability of the Zjeppelin type for long:" distance traffic. .
