BANKS.
(Received 27th August, 10 a.m.)
BEISBANE, This Day,
The president of the Queensland branch' of the Australian Railway Union, said that there was evidence in official telegrams from every; centre throughout the State that the unions were unanimous and showed remarkable solidarity. Ho regarded it as evidence of tho long Buffering and injustice occasioned to the workers since 1922. "We have indicated to our branches throughout the State that we do not desire them to completely cease work, but we are experiencing considerable difficulty in holding them back. We desire to receive a reply from the Parliamentary Labour Party before the rank and file cease work or a general strike is declared."
