BEISBANE, This Day.
Announcements made at a mass meeting at Ipswich indicate that there will be a practically general stoppage of work to-day.
Mass meetings in other centres unanimously decided to support resolutions carried at Towusville.
At Cairns, Townsville, Eockhampton, and in all the central districts, the railwaymen struck at midnight.
