GOOD ENOUGH FOR MR. LYSNAR
In the opinion of Mr. W. D. Lysuar (Gisborne) Wellington has got two railway stations already, so what moiO does it want?
"The member for Suburbs has been asking for a new railway station for Wellington," he remarked in the House of Eepresentatives last night. "They've got two already."
''Do you call them stations?" asked a member.
"I call them railway stations," replied Mr. Lysnar. "They arc .serving hte purpose, and we should bo thankful for them. Anyone who wants to get away gets away, and iuiyono who wants to come to Wellington gets to Wellington, so what's all the trouble?" *
Mr. W. E. Parry (Auckland Central): "They won't trouble you much longer." .
Mr. Lysnar considered that the new Wellington railway station, the Tawa Mat deviation, tho duplication of the Lyttelton tunnel, and improved facilities at Auckland could all wait until the Napier-Gisborne line was completed.
